Material introduction of functional foods

Hokkaido takes advantage of the abundant natural resources such as salmon, mushrooms, onions, potatoes and kelp to develop functional food ingredients to be sent out not only within Japan, but worldwide to many bio industries.
The food ingredients which are developed are inspected by cooperation of the industry, academia and government for safety, potency and advantageous results. All data retrieved from such inspections are accumulated and are used as powerful business materials for functional food products and cosmetic makers within Japan.
